One of the ways I help prevent ground water pollution is by not using toxic pest control around my home. I'm always looking for ways to control pests naturally. To that end, I encourage as much natural wildlife as I can by creating habitat in my landscape. In desperate situations I use diatomaceous earth or spays I make with natural dish soap, oil and water. It also helps to plant drought tolerant local plants hardy to our planting zones.
