Plastics Impact on the Environment

I had been pretty consistently smoking cigarettes for the last two years and I had no plans on quitting soon. When we started learning more about waste and I found out that cigarette butts had been the largest contributor to plastic waste I was extremely disappointed in myself. I immediately knew that I should quit and that's exactly what I did and as of writing this blog post I have been cigarette (including vapes) for exactly 1 month. I am very proud of myself for managing to stop smoking for this long, the longest time since I started smoking when I was 19 back in 2021. I never realized how much cigarette butts contributed to pollution considering how small they are and the fact that they are a lot less popular than 20 or even 10 years ago. I am more than glad to quit my terrible habit if it means slowing down pollution.

I am so proud of you! That’s a huge accomplishment. It’s a rare thing to see and it’s amazing for you to quit. It definitely harms the environment a lot and your doing really well. :)
