Something that I have done for several years in order to reduce plastic is using a bamboo/wooden toothbrush. I've read that because they take so long to break down, it is likely that every plastic toothbrush used during someone's lifetime still exists, as it can take up to 10o years for plastic to decompose. However, bamboo and wooden products take anywhere from a few months to 3 years to decompose.
