Today I bought the 6 pack of Silicone-based reusable bags you recommended to combat the use and creation of trash of Ziploc bags. Ziploc bags have been used in my household as long as I can remember which means my family has provided that much more waste to the environment that can be combated with this alternative. I'm sure my mom will also appreciate that I got these and they most likely become more incorporated into our daily lives. Having 3 younger siblings who go to school every day with food, I'm sure she will buy more and stop buying the Ziploc bags that we use every single day. I understand that by incorporating these reusable food bags, it will definitely decrease the amount of waste we produce, not just from getting rid of Ziploc bags, but from the idea that there are many environmentally friendly alternatives to most things that we just throw away every day. I couldn't even imagine the amount of soap bottles for the kitchen and bathrooms we have gone through and how that could be prevented by buying zero-packaging soap bars and plastic-free soap. So, this is just the start to our household hopefully becoming more environmentally friendly. Thank you for the recommendation!
