Living Plastic Free

Public·127 students

Hi everyone! Living plastic-free is becoming increasingly important to me, and like Larri, I reduce my use of plastics by keeping reusable bags handy. My favorite grocery store, Aldi, is doing everything it can to minimize plastic use.

While researching for this blog, I discovered that my reusable Aldi bag is made of 80% recyclable materials. I also learned that Aldi was the first major retailer in the U.S. to eliminate plastic shopping bags in January of 2024. This commitment is another reason I enjoy shopping there; not only do they offer affordable groceries, but they are actively working to improve their environmental impact.

Initially, it was easier for me to grab plastic bags at other grocery stores, especially since I would often forget my reusable bags at home or in the car. However, over the last year, I’ve become much more conscious of the negative effects plastic has on our environment.

I’d love to hear about your experiences and tips for living plastic-free!
