This photograph illustrates how I attempt to reduce my own personal contribution to the global phenomenon of climate change through the reduction of my carbon and plastic footprint. Highlighted within the photograph is my reusable metal flask used only for filtered water. By safely making the switch from the use of single-use plastic bottles to this more sustainable choice, along with my regular shift away from plastic bags to reusable totes, I eliminate fossil-fuel based waste products.

Moreover, by making a choice of visiting Whole Foods for purchasing whole ingredients rather than visiting the convenience fast food joints and using the plastic containers made under very heavy branding, I am making sure that I play my part in reducing the demand of these environmentally harmful systems. The reason for this is that the fast food industry uses an extensive transport system that consumes too much fossil fuel energy along with single use plastic packaging.

Although all of the above behaviors center around reducing waste in the short term, there is one grand plan that I am implementing that has to do with purchasing a Tesla car. This particular decision directly impacts the rate at which humans continue consuming fossil fuels at alarming speeds. Eliminating entirely all CO2 tailpipe emission

s in my future daily trips would greatly reduce the carbon imprint I will create during my entire lifetime. Both the minor actions and the major structures help ensure a win for our planet.
