One way that I reduce my consumption of plastics is with tea. I’ve drank tea almost everyday for years, because I really can't drink coffee without feeling horrible, and over the past few months I have switched away from buying bags or concentrates. The tea that I purchase now is primarily loose leaf tea, it almost always tastes way better and has less of an adverse effect on the climate. Typical tea bags are sealed with plastic, they are always individually wrapped and can either be inside a paper or plastic packet. I’m able to use a fairly small amount of leaves for my tea everyday, which is a lot better than throwing out a bag every day or using too much leaf for the amount of water. I have a few metal strainer that is very easy to use and doesn’t produce nearly as much waste as bags. I…
